All over the world, dogs are still being chained, beaten, and forced to fight for human entertainment and profit. These dogs are bred for cruelty and stripped of their natural instincts for kindness and trust. They suffer unimaginable pain.
In a recent BBC Spotlight investigation supported by AWIP’s Investigations Team, hidden dogfighting rings were exposed, revealing that this brutal bloodsport is still thriving in the shadows across the globe including in the United Kingdom.
Just this July, AWIP’s intelligence personnel raided a dogfighting ring in the Philippines, stopping a fight only hours before it began. Those dogs were lucky to be saved. But millions more are still trapped in this underground world, waiting for someone to come for them. Governments are not acting fast enough.
