Dogs are bred, chained, starved, and forced to fight for human profit. They are given drugs to increase aggression and endurance. When they are injured, exhausted, or “fail,” many are killed — some electrocuted or beaten to death.
In a recent case, an eight-week-old puppy was dismembered. That puppy never had a chance to be loved or safe.
Last year, AWIP investigators stopped a dogfight just minutes before it was due to begin. Without intervention, those dogs would have been forced into the pit. Dogfighting continues worldwide because abusers aren’t stopped in time.
