In the far north of Pangasinan, Philippines, our undercover investigators have just completed another test purchase at a roadside dog-meat slaughterhouse — and what they uncovered was some of the most disturbing cruelty we’ve seen this year.
What they found was horrifying… Dogs being killed behind the premises, dog meat openly prepared and sold, and — most shockingly — the severed head and paws of a dog offered to our investigators for use in soup. The slaughterer even described his preferred killing method: bashing dogs over the head, slitting their throats, and then blowtorching their bodies — sometimes while the dogs are still conscious.
We are urgently calling on the authorities to immediately shut down this slaughterhouse and to take decisive action against the dog meat trade in the Philippines.
